How do you remove adhesive label residue from plastic contaners?

I've always use anything that's on hand. In your case, just a bit of cooking oil (or any kind of oil) scrub it a little til it slowly glides off, then wash it as u would with a normal greasy dish. Easy! How do you remove adhesive label residue from plastic contaners?
Just don't use ';Goof Off'; as suggested by nigel y. It will destroy some plastics. Goo Gone works real well, as stated. I used some ';Goof Off' on a plexiglass surface, the perimeter of a brand new 3K LCD Samsung TV, and it clouded it permanantly. Careful!

it removes paint and adhesives.
Get yourself a bottle of Goo Gone. You can buy it most anywhere...usually in the cleaning or hardware sections. Works great for every kind of label or adhesive. Smells like oranges too. Good Luck
Warm Soapy water should do the trick
There is a product called ';goo gone'; It is in the hardware section of wal-mart by the rubber gloves and solvents. Works great! sometimes you can find it much cheaper at dollar tree.
warm setting on blow dryer rub it off
WD-40 or professional nail polish remover(not drug store kind).

Works all the time.
take a cotton ball and put a little lighter fluid on it.rub the area and it will come right off.this works every time and dose not cost allot because you don't have to use allot .after you do this wash with warm water.hope this helps.good luck.
