Is there any adhesive paper or plastic that can be put on kitchen countertops.?

I've just moved into an apartment that has the kitchen countertop in not a very good condition, it is made out of some sort of wood or similar material and I was wondering if there is anything like a wall paper or similar that I can just put on top so it can look better. Thank you.Is there any adhesive paper or plastic that can be put on kitchen countertops.?
No I would not think of doing something like that...It won.t work...!!!. Somebody out there probably has the right answer but I for one don.t think your idea is the correct solution%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;Is there any adhesive paper or plastic that can be put on kitchen countertops.?
You might be able to paint what you have. You need to find out if it actual wood, wood veneer, or a product that just looks like wood. You might be able to sand it down and make it work.
there's laminate.

i dont think there's paper, it would rip.

plastic maybe.
I wouldn't put ANYTHING on top of existing countertops. You are just asking for problems if you do that. The best solution is to put down a new countertop. But it is just an apartment you are renting, right? Nothing is beautiful in places you rent. You are only there temporarily. Didn't you see the place before you moved in? You should have asked the landlord if he was planning on doing something about the countertop then. You don't want to put something down now, and have them take part of your deposit away when you move out if they don't agree with what you do. You gotta live with it.
There's a product for just that, called CONTACT it comes in numerous patterns.
you can just go to the tyle store and tyle the top

it is not that hard
